We have completed in vitro studies on the evaluation of the effects of Juana Velvety Body Butter on eczema skin condition. The study was conducted by the independent research laboratory based in France, specializing in cellular and molecular pharmacology. Under the experimental conditions of the assay, compound Body Butter, has proven a strong effect on addressing the markers that are triggering eczema. 1. WHAT IS CBD?
CBD is a natural ingredient found in the hemp flower. It is one of 113 identified compounds in hemp plants and accounts for up to 40% of the plant’s extract. It is clinically proven to positively impact mental and physical well-being.
2. IS CBD PSYCHOACTIVE?
No, it’s not. CBD is different from its psychoactive cousin -THC. THC is also a cannabinoid derived from the hemp plant, however, that’s the ingredient that is known for its mind-altering and psychoactive effect.
3. HOW DOES CBD WORK IN SKINCARE?
CBD influences your endocannabinoid system so that they are activated and instructed to work. The endocannabinoid system (ECS) is a complex system of receptors that regulate and balances processes like sleep, mood, appetite, and energy level that affect how we experience our life.
Activating these receptors in the skin allows to balance your sebum production, regulate down inflammatory markers, soothe irritation & scavenge free radicals.
4. IS HEMP SEED OIL SAME AS CBD?
No, they are not the same. Hemp seed oil comes from the seeds of the Cannabis Sativa plant and does not contain CBD. CBD is extracted from the leaves, flowers and stalk of the same plant, and can be used to treat a wide range of ailments from depression and anxiety to insomnia.
5. HOW TO READ THE CBD POTENCY?
For topical products containing CBD it is important to understand the potency of the formulation. CBD follows the biphasic effect – too little does not work, however too much is neither effective.
To understand the potency, you need to use the concentration of CBD in mg to ml: so if your product states that it contains 100mg of CBD, and the container’s volume is 50ml, CBD concentration in that product is 2mg/ml.
